Privacy notice

This page explains what happens to the data you give us when you join the waitlist. In short: we use it to write to you when it’s ready, and to understand what people need.

Who decides about your data

Thentro is the provisional name of the company we’re founding: it isn’t incorporated yet.

The data controller is Davide Garbi. For any question about your data, write to privacy@thentro.com.

What we collect

When you sign up, we keep:

Why

We use your email for one thing only: to write to you when it’s ready.

What you write in “What are you looking for?” helps us understand what people need, so we can build around it.

We don’t make automated decisions about you.

On what basis

Your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. Your email is needed to get the launch email; the rest is optional.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to privacy@thentro.com: from then on we stop using your data. What we did before stays lawful.

Where your data is, and who else handles it

Your data is stored with Supabase, in a data centre in the European Union, in Ireland. Supabase handles it on our behalf, as a data processor.

The site and the form run on Cloudflare, also a data processor. When you send the form, Cloudflare briefly uses your IP address for the anti-bot check: we don’t keep it.

Supabase is based in Singapore and Cloudflare in the United States. If your data is processed outside the European Union, the transfer is covered by the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, which are part of their data processing agreements. Cloudflare is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Analytics and cookies

To count visits we use Cloudflare Web Analytics: it uses no cookies and shows us only aggregate numbers, never who you are.

This site uses no cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your data until 12 months after launch, and never more than 36 months after you signed up. If you ask us to delete it, we delete it sooner.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to get it in a format you can take elsewhere. You can object to how we process it and withdraw your consent. Just write to privacy@thentro.com.

If you think we’re handling your data wrongly, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali: garanteprivacy.it.

How to be removed

Write to privacy@thentro.com from the address you signed up with, and we’ll delete your data.
